Daniel Paul Hoglin, 74, of Lancaster, MN, passed away in his home on June 27, 2026.

Dan was born in Hallock Hospital on November 5, 1951, to John & Loyce (Jevning) Hoglin. He attended school in Lancaster from Kindergarten through 12th grade, graduating in 1969. After graduation, he started working full time at the Kittson County Highway Department. During this time, he also joined the United States Army. Following his time in the Army, he returned to the Kittson County Highway Department. Once retired, he took on two part-time jobs, mowing for the golf course and working as a substitute mail carrier.

Dan had many friends. He especially enjoyed working with the crew at the highway department. He also enjoyed camping, fishing, hunting, and playing pool. He won many trophies over the years. During the winter, he spent his time snowmobiling and watching sports. We couldn’t have asked for a better brother, uncle, and friend.

Dan was preceded in death by his parents, John and Loyce Hoglin; his Grandma and Grandpa Jevning; his Grandma and Grandpa Hoglin; his nephew, Chris Hoglin; and many uncles, aunts, and cousins.

He is survived by his brother, Dave (Dianne) Hoglin; his nephew, Mike Hoglin; and his great nieces and nephews, Isaiah, Gabrielle, Lily, and Jordyne Hoglin.

He will be missed by all who knew and loved him. God Bless Dan.

A memorial service for Dan will be held on Saturday, September 26 at 11:00 a.m. in Sion Lutheran Church in Lancaster, MN. Interment will be in Riverview Memorial Gardens Cemetery in Lancaster, next to his parents.
