Wallace Edward Bolduc, 81, a resident of Stephen, MN died on Monday, October 20th, 2014 at Valley Eldercare, Grand Forks, ND surrounded by his family. Wallace "Wally" was born March 19th, 1933 to Felix and Marie (Landreville) Bolduc. Baptized and confirmed at St. Joseph's Red River Mission Church where he began his lifelong relationship with his church and his Heavenly Father. From 1953-1955 he served as a Staff Sgt. In the U.S. Army serving both in Korea and Japan. After Honorable discharge from the military, he lived in Long Beach, CA. On June 18th 1958 he was united in marriage to Carol Glenn and they settled in Hallock, MN. He worked at the Hallock Creamery for a few years then at Western Implement. In 1967 they returned to Stephen, MN where he started farming with his brother Robert (Bob) Bolduc. He worked the first few winters at Midland Coop in Stephen and later at American Crystal Sugar in Drayton, ND. He retired from farming in 1998, but continued to help his nephew on the farm for several years. His greatest joys were his family, farming, yard work, automobiles and John Deere Tractors. He enjoyed making coffee rounds in the mornings at his brothers, sisters and the guys at Vern's Body Shop. His example of character, integrity and sense of humor blessed all who knew him. Survivors include his wife of 56 years, Carol, his children, Peggy (Larry) Riopelle, Argyle, MN, Jeff (Julie) Bolduc of Stephen, MN and Tammy (Paul) Woodstrom of Grand Forks, ND. He is also survived by his grandchildren: Joshua Kostrzewski, Haley Riopelle, Mikayla and Megan Bolduc, Kailie Woodstrom, step-grandchildren: Jessica and Alissa Riopelle, step-great grandchildren: Zoey and Aria. His siblings include: Doris Harris and Richard (Beverly) Bolduc, sister-in-laws Thelma Bolduc and Pat (John) Krolak all of Stephen, MN and several nieces and nephews. Wallace was preceded in death by his parents Felix and Marie Bolduc, two infant brothers, his sisters Irene (Thomas) Silewski, Shirley (Hubert) Dvorak, brother Robert Bolduc and brother-in-law Wallace Harris. Funeral services will be held Friday, October 24, 2014 at 10:30 a.m. in St. Stephen Catholic Church. Interment will be in St. Stephen Cemetery. Visitation will be held at the church on Thursday evening from 6 to 8 p.m. with a rosary service at 6:45 p.m. and prayer service at 7:00 p.m.
