Tessie Dahlman, 88, of Bemidji, MN and formally of Lancaster, MN peacefully passed away at her son's home surrounded by her loving family on Sunday, July 30th, 2017.

She was born in Orleans, MN at home, delivered by her grandmother Elizabeth Steinert on December 17th,1928. She was the daughter of Victor and Clara Jaszczak. Tessie grew up in Orleans and graduated from Lancaster high school in1947. After graduation, she pursued her career in nursing and graduated from a psychiatric nursing program in Minneapolis, MN. She furthered her education and graduated from St. Josephs in Memphis Tennessee in 1957.

Tessie returned to Lancaster, MN and was united in marriage to Earl Dahlman in August of 1958. From this union, five children were born. Paul (Christine), rural Stephen, MN. Catherine (Victor) Bemidji, MN, Richard, Bemdiji, MN and Mary, Bemdiji, MN. Grandchildren include John Dahlman, Paula Black, Travis Yerbich, Jasmin Yerbich and Jenny Yerbich; siblings, Ida Knapp (Dick), and Roy Jaszczak (Margot); a sister-in-law, Shirley Jaszczak; as well as nieces and nephews.  She was  preceded in death by her parents; a son, Philip; and brother, Ted.

Funeral services are scheduled for Friday, August 4th, 2017 at 11:00 a.m. in St. Patrick's Catholic Church in Hallock, MN. Visitation will be held at the Austin Funeral Chapel from 6-8 p.m. with prayer service at 7 pm on Thursday, August 3rd, 2017.  Interment will be at Riverview Memorial Cemetery, Lancaster, MN.
