Tammy Jo Blawat, 56, of Deer River, MN  and formerly of Drayton, ND passed away at Essentia Hospital in Duluth, MN on Friday, April 12, 2019. Tammy Jo Blawat was born on March 7, 1963 in Milwaukee, WI and raised in Wisconsin until 1977 when the family moved to Minnesota. Later Tammy moved to Alaska where she resided most of her life until recently when she moved to Deer River, MN to live with her daughter Cassandra and grandkids until the time of her death.

To all who knew Tammy, she was a free spirit. Fly High Tammy!

Tammy is survived by sister, DeAnna (Terry) Woinarowicz of Stephen; brother, Alfred Blawat Jr. of Thompson and sister, Tina (Stephen) Mohs of Embden; Children Devin Blawat, Cassandra Blawat, Cassalina Blawat and Jessica Blawat all who reside in Alaska; Grandchildren Abbegale, JJ, Noah, Jackson, Alleyona, Harmony, Salina Rose, Charles Franklin along with nieces, nephews, and great nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by parents Alfred and Marjorie Blawat, Stepmom Elvera Blawat, Brother Lane Blawat, Daughter Danielle Blawat and grandchildren Ethan & Victoria Blawat.

A service of remembrance will be held on Friday, July 26, 2019 at 10:30 a.m. in Austin Funeral Chapel, Drayton.  Interment will be in the Stephen City Cemetery, Stephen, MN. Visitation will be held for one hour prior to the service.  Deacon Mike Grzadzielewski, presiding.
