Ron "Rascal" Klegstad, 63, of Lake Bronson, Minnesota passed away peacefully at his home early Monday morning, November 4th, 2013 after a brave and courageous battle with cancer. Ronald Emmett Klegstad was born January 25, 1950 at Hallock, Minnesota to Leonard and Helen (Rue) Klegstad. He grew up near Pelan and attended school in Karlstad. On April 10, 1971 he married Lois Hawk at Lake Bronson. Ron spent the majority of his working life as an over the road truck driver. He hauled for Western Potato in Grand Forks, worked at the Mark Melby farm, drove for Pro Transport and completed his working career at Davidson Construction retiring in 2012 because of failing health. Ron was a loving husband, father and grandfather and will be lovingly missed by family and friends. Ron is survived by his wife, Lois; a daughter, Traci (Daryll) Foss, Lake Bronson; grandchildren, Tyler Foss, Savanah (Dustin) Strand, Lacey Peterson, Courtnie Foss and Reed Foss; brothers, Dean (Beverly) Klegstad, Newfolden, MN and Marvin Klegstad, Townsend, MT; sisters, Alois (Lloyd) Lehse, South Haven, MN and Karen Christenson, Valley City, ND; as well as nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents and a brother, Owen. Funeral services are scheduled for Thursday, November 7th, 2013 at 2:00 p.m. in the Community Covenant Church at Lake Bronson. Interment will be in Riverside Cemetery, Lake Bronson. Wesley Staie, presiding; Barbara Staie, pianist and Roger Anderson, soloist. Casket bearers will be Roger Anderson, Scott Klegstad, Gary Carlson, Dwight Underberg, Erick Larson and Mark Melby. Visitation will be held at Austin Funeral Chapel in Hallock on Wednesday evening from 6 to 8 p.m. with a prayer service at 7:00 p.m.
