Obituary

Pamela Jean (Seaverson) Olson
1951-2020

On Wednesday December 30th, 2020 Pam (Seaverson) Olson, loving wife and mother of four boys, passed away at the age of 69 at Vibra Hospital Fargo, ND, surrounded by her family.

Pam was born on September 25th, 1951 in Warren, MN to Percy and Margaret (Jorgenson) Seaverson. She graduated from Lincoln High School in 1969. She went on to continue her schooling at the Thief River Falls Area Technical College in Thief River Falls, MN. Pam was united in marriage to Dennis Olson at Zion Lutheran Church in Thief River Falls, MN, on February 20th, 1970. They soon moved to Grand Forks, ND for Dennis' job. Pam worked at UND in the business office. In 1974 they purchased Nu Bridge Mobil Station and later started Design Services and Construction. Later they moved to Stephen, MN where they lived for many years while raising their four sons. Pam worked at First Lutheran Church for 26 years as the church secretary and also worked at the Stephen school. She then went on to work at Digi-Key in Thief River Falls, MN. Pam helped Dennis on the family farm when needed. They lived in Stephen, MN, a majority of their lives before moving back to Grand Forks, ND.

Pam is survived by her four sons, Paul (Barbara) Orlando, FL, Mark (Lana) Grand Rapids, MN, Justin (Jamie) East Grand Forks, MN, and Joel (Katie) Grand Forks, ND, 11 grandchildren Amber, Mandi, Adam, Faith, Chance, Grace, Brayden, Destiny, Christian, Sebastian and Kirsten, and six great grandchildren Gabriel, Lucas, Madi, Beth, Braxton and Easton. She is also survived by three sisters Sherry Hunt, Warroad, Shirley (Steven) Onken, West Fargo, Kelly (Alan) Burda, Strathcona, and one brother Dennis (Mary) Seaverson, Thief River Falls, sister and brothers-in-laws, Judith and David Loer, East Grand Forks, and many nieces, nephews, and cousins.

Pam's warm smile always made people feel at home and welcomed. She never met a stranger, always a friend. Her love of her family and friends was always important to her. She loved her grandchildren and getting to know them and watch them grow was a blessing to her. One of Pam's great joys in life was getting to watch the successes of her sons and to get four daughters in the mix. She adored her daughter-in-laws and getting to know them was a joy. Pam enjoyed sewing, reading, playing any kind of cards, dominos, and board games. She loved helping anyone or just to be their friend. Pam loved family get togethers, picnics, reunions, watching the family play yard games, or just relaxing with family and friends.

Pam was preceded in death by her loving husband, Dennis, her parents Percy and Margaret Seaverson, her father and mother-in-law, Gilbert and Ella (Benson) Olson, her great-grandchildren, Nehemiah Mertz, Angel Anderson, Baby Anderson, and brother-in-law Don Hunt (Sherry). Pam will always be remembered for her kind and compassionate spirit and her infectious smile. She will be missed by all who knew her.
