Norma J. Nelson, 79, of Lake Bronson, Minnesota passed away suddenly at the Meadows in Karlstad, Minnesota on Wednesday, May 28, 2014 where she had been living since Dad died. Norma was born in Kittson County to Axel and Agnes (Stenquist) Soderfelt on September 29, 1934. Mom and Dad lived at the Circle Bar N Ranch where they farmed, raised horses and four kids. While living at the Meadows, Mom liked helping others, bingo, Bible study, music, dancing and reminiscing with family and friends. Mom loved babysitting a friend's kitty, "Babes", which was such an enjoyment for her. She is survived by her children, Dawn (Mike) Ekdahl, Green River, WY, Terry and Brad Nelson of Lake Bronson, MN, and Robin Nelson of Grafton, ND; five grandchildren, Kayla, Kelsey, Kyle and Kassie of WY and Skyler of ND; and two great grandchildren, Mercedez and Hunter of WY; two sisters, Audrey Nelson, Thief River Falls, MN and Ardyce Woinarowicz, Drayton, ND; and many nieces, nephews, cousins and extended family and friends. She was preceded in death by her husband, Floyd; parents, Axel and Agnes Soderfelt; four brothers, Leroy, Gerald, Merle and Morris Soderfelt; a great grandson, Wiley Ekdahl and numerous other family and friends. Funeral services will be held at Zion Lutheran Church in Lake Bronson on Thursday, June 12, 2014 at 10:00 a.m. Interment will be in Riverside Cemetery, Lake Bronson.
