Norma Delores Brinkman, 98, passed away, Friday March 1st, 2024, at the Karlstad Senior Living.
Norma, the daughter of Charles and Elene (Nelson) Weaver, was born on March 4, 1925, in Solar township, Roseau County, Rural Greenbush. Norma attended the Island Home Country School and graduated from Greenbush High School. She then went on to teacher training in Roseau and taught in the Strathcona school.
Norma married Gerald Brinkman in May 1950 at Strathcona, MN. They made their home in Solar township where they farmed until Gerald passed away in April 2001. Norma stayed on the farm until she entered the Karlstad Senior Living in 2020. Norma loved to garden, read a good book, watch her "stories", visit with family and friends, and tend to her many pets over the years; but most of all she loved her grandchildren. Norma is a member of Oiland Lutheran Church in rural Greenbush, MN.
The family would like to thank Karlstad Senior Living staff for the wonderful care that Norma received for the last 4 years there.
Norma is survived by her daughters Luci Brinkman-Schuller of Winona MN, Judy (Gary) Bronson of Lake Bronson and son-in-law Mike Gross, Greenbush. Grandchildren Carmen Holmes, Thief River Falls, Jamie (Jeremy) Reese, Karlstad, Jessica Gross Roseau, Meggan (Mike) Brandon, Middle River, Erik Gross, Greenbush, Jenalea (Jonathan) Duray, Karlstad. Great Grandchildren Mayson (Morgan) Holmes, Easton (Shelby) Fossell, Brayden Fossell, Talen Dokkin, McCash, Sawyer and Sullivan Brandon, Jillian Duray, Elin Reese, Blayne Reese and Jaxton Duray. Great-Great Grandchildren Oliver Lee, Rhett and Harvey Holmes and Baby Fossell. She is proceeded in death by her parents, husband Gerald Brinkman, daughter Jill Gross, Grandson Josh Gross and son-in-law Jerome Schueller.
Burial Service will be held at a future date.
Family requests donations to Perry's Paws 102 Atlantic Ave, Kennedy Mn 56733 in lieu of cards or flowers.
