Michael W. Ness, 59, of Fargo and formerly of St. Vincent/Noyes, Minnesota passed away at Bemidji, Minnesota on Friday, September 13, 2013. Michael was born January 11, 1954 at Mohall, North Dakota to Francis and Dorothy (Koons) Ness. He was baptized and confirmed in the Catholic faith and graduated from Humboldt High School in 1972. After completing his education he enlisted in the U.S. Navy serving from 1972 to 1976. Michael returned to St. Vincent and worked at Jensen Brokerage in Pembina, North Dakota until 2007 when he moved to Fargo. Michael was currently employed at Integrity Windows in Fargo. Michael was an avid sports fan and enjoyed hunting, fishing, golf, watching NASCAR, the Twins and Vikings. He is survived by his companion, Sheila Hague, Fargo; mother, Dorothy, St. Vincent; sisters, Pam (Jerry) Anderson, East Grand Forks, MN, Cheryl (Jerry) Cicha, Fargo and Laurie Ness, Grand Forks; brothers, Jon (Kim) Ness, Devils, Lake, ND and Dan (Dawn) Ness, West Fargo; and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his grandparents and father. Funeral services are scheduled for Tuesday, September 17th, 2013 at 10:00 a.m. in the Assumption Catholic Church at Pembina. Interment will be in St. Vincent Cemetery. Military honors accorded by Kern Thompson Post #77. Rev. Joseph Okogba, presiding. Casket bearers will be Joe DeFoe, David Wilkie, Randy Brintnell, Mike Johnson, Steve Fritz and Jim Dahl. Honorary casket bearers will be friends and members of Deer Camp J.O.N. Visitation will be held at the church on Monday evening from 6 to 8 p.m. with a prayer service at 7:00 p.m.
