Obituary

Mercedes Bonnevieve (Olson) Larson passed away with family by her side on August 10, 2019, at the age of 88.
"Bonnie" was born in Jupiter Township, MN, on July 22, 1931, the daughter of Ephraim and Hulda (Rydberg) Olson. She was baptized and confirmed at East Emmaus Church near Kennedy, MN. She graduated from Lake Bronson High School, Lake Bronson, MN, and Aaker's Business College, Grand Forks, ND. After graduation, she worked at the Stephen Implement Company, Stephen, MN.

Bonnie was united in marriage to Amos D. Larson on November 17, 1951, at the East Emmaus Church, and they farmed near Stephen until retirement. Bonnie was a member of the First Lutheran Church and American Legion Auxiliary, both of Stephen. She loved golfing, playing bridge and especially visits with her children and grandchildren. Bonnie and Amos spent several winters in Arizona and Texas, and Bonnie enjoyed her final  years in Oro Valley, AZ, residing near family and making new friends at Vistoso Village.

Bonnie is survived by one brother, Roger (Joyce) Olson of Baxter, MN; one daughter, Renae (Anthony) Turco, of Fountain Hills, AZ; one son, Scott (Karla) Larson, of Dickinson, ND; four granddaughters, Kristine (Sean) Lofgren, Kathleen Larson (Reed Noreen), Kailey (Nick) Moschetta and Kristen Turco; and one step-grandson, Derek Northrop (Jodi Lindquist). A number of great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews also survive. Bonnie was preceded in death by her husband, Amos Larson, one brother, Wallace Olson, and one sister, Lorraine Prosser.

The family is grateful for the compassionate care which was provided by Heartland Hospice and the Country Club of La Cholla during Bonnie's final months. Funeral services will be held at 10:00 AM on Saturday, October 5, 2019, at the First Lutheran Church, 573 Stephen Avenue, Stephen, MN. Interment will follow at the Stephen City Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Stephen Volunteer Ambulance Service, 846 5th Street, Stephen, MN 56757.
