Obituary

Marvin Clow, 79, of Lancaster, Minnesota passed away at Sanford Medical Center in Fargo, North Dakota on Tuesday, March 27, 2018.

Marvin
Clifford Clow was born June 23, 1938 on a farm near Pembina, North Dakota to Gordon and Martha (Steinke) Clow.  He began his education in Lancaster, Minnesota and went on to attend the Northwest School of Agriculture in Crookston.  In 1956 Marvin entered the U.S. Air Force and served until 1958.  In 1960 he was united in marriage to Pamela Baker and had two sons. In 1974 he married Judy Wheeler and helped raise her three children.  Marvin and Judy had two more children and lived just north of Lancaster on the Clow family farm. Marvin worked at Motor Coach Industries for 38 years.  He loved to hunt, fish, read westerns and military history (his favorite). He enjoyed spending time with family and sharing his life stories.

Family members include his wife, Judy; children, Jeff (Sandy) Clow, Lancaster, Mitch (Don) Clow, Redondo Beach, CA, Michael (fiancé Sara) Clow, Minot, ND, Denise Clow, Mountain Home, ID; Duane (Holly) Sand, Bismarck, ND, Susan (Greg) LaPlant in Brewster, Massachusetts and Karen (Robert) Riskey, Grand Forks; grandchildren, Justin, Ryan, Avah, Kaedyn, Allen, Hannah, Samuel, DJ, Tyler, Tatianna and Karson; great grandchildren, Addison and Scarlet.  Marvin was preceded in death by his parents.

Funeral services are scheduled for Saturday, March 31, 2018 at 2:00 p.m. in Lancaster Covenant Church.  Interment will be in Riverview Memorial Garden Cemetery, Lancaster.  Visitation will be held at the church on Saturday for one hour prior to the service.  Rev. Galen Nordin, presiding; special music Holly Wheeler and Galen Nordin.  Casket bearers will be grandchildren, Justin Clow, Ryan Clow, Tyler Riskey, Kaedyn Guerra, son-in-law, Robert Riskey and friend Casey Faken.  Honorary casket bearers will be Karson Riskey, Don Smith-Arizmendi and Gregory LaPlant.  Military honors will be accorded by the Lancaster American Legion.
