Martha Knutson, 91, of Lancaster, Minnesota passed away at Kittson Memorial Healthcare Center in Hallock, Minnesota on Sunday, May 1, 2022.

Martha Kushinski was born at home in Northcote, Minnesota on July 24, 1930. Martha attended country schools in Kittson County. On November 10,1948 she was united in marriage to Warren Knutson at Hallock. The couple settled on the Knutson family farm near Orleans, Minnesota. Martha worked several years for the city of Lancaster taking care of their parks and maintaining the floral gardens. She enjoyed the outdoors, embroidery and spending time in her beautiful flower gardens. Martha was a member of Sion Lutheran Church and the American Legion Auxiliary.

Family members include her daughter, Annette (Kenny) Gryskiewicz, Lancaster; step grandchildren, Daniel Gryskiewicz and Ashley Walsh; four step great grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. Martha was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Warren in 1989; a son, Larry in 1988; a daughter, Kayann in 1965; a grandson, Jonathan;  sisters, Victoria, Mary, Laura and Caroline; and brothers, Raymond, Roland and Karl.

Funeral services are scheduled for Friday, May 6,2022 at 2:00 p.m. in Sion Lutheran Church, Lancaster. Interment will be in Riverview Memorial Gardens, Lancaster. Visitation will be held at the church for one hour prior to the service. Rev. Andy Graves, presiding; Dianne Rice, organist and Galen Nordin, soloist. Casket bearers will be nieces and nephews, Bill Kushinski, Jim Kushinski, Jim Mishler, Holly Bright, Bethany Cheshire, Jayden Forsberg and Ben Bright.
