Marlene Bratlie, 82, of Drayton, North Dakota passed away at her home on June 17, 2019.

Marlene Eldora Hanson was born at Viking, Minnesota to Melvin and Elva (Chapman) Hanson on January 7, 1937. When Marlene was four years old her family moved to Logan Center near Northwood, North Dakota.  She attended country school near Logan Center and graduated in 1954.  On January 17, 1955 she married Jerome Bratlie at Grand Forks, North Dakota.  They settled in Grand Forks and lived there until 1965 when they moved to Drayton.  Marlene worked at Borden Food Processing in Grafton and later at American Crystal in Drayton, working there until her retirement at age 75. Marlene was a longtime member of the Local 167G Union.  She was a member of Drayton Lutheran Church, taught Sunday  school and was Cub Scout leader.  Jerome passed away on May 27, 2017.

Family members include a daughter, Roberta (Ron) Corrick, Drayton; sons, Leland (Tammy), Drayton, Mike, Drayton and Greg, Warroad, MN; 12  grandchildren; 14 great grandchildren; a brother-in-law, Gary (Janet) Bratlie; sisters-in-law, Yvonne (Richard) Mandt and Jean (Jerry) Mandt; and nieces and nephews.  She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband of 62 years, Jerome; a great granddaughter, Jordyn Woinarowicz; a brother, Dayton and two sisters, Penni Faul and Debbi Suarez.

Memorial services are scheduled for Monday, June 24, 2019 at 2:00 p.m. in Drayton Lutheran Church.  Interment will be in Drayton City Cemetery.  Visitation will be held at the church for one hour prior to the service.  Pastor Jon Dryburgh, presiding; Ivy Schulz, organist; Karen Schumacher and Shirley VanCamp, duet. Honorary pall bearers will be Marlene's grandchildren and great grandchildren.
