Mark D. Anderson, 94, formerly of Donaldson, Minnesota died peacefully Wednesday, February 24, 2021 at Edgewood Memory Care in East Grand Forks, Minnesota.

Mark was born June 18, 1926 in Kennedy, Minnesota the son of Casper and Ellen (Vilen) Anderson. Mark grew up in the Donaldson area and attended local schools. He served as a medic in the Korean War and after completing his military duty returned home to farm with his father, Casper.  He retired in 1977. Mark was kind, generous and always willing to help. Mark kept a journal of all the people he met or came to visit, and kept track of the daily weather. He loved to travel, play dominoes and visit with friends and family. He also liked to sing and played the piano. Mark will be greatly missed.

Mark was preceded in death by his parents, Casper and Ellen; sisters, Rhoda, Guna, Liz and Barbara; and friend and companion, Marion Bjerk.

Graveside services for Mark will be held on Wednesday, April 21, 2021 at 1:00 p.m. in the Kennedy City Cemetery, Kennedy, Minnesota. Pastor Kathy Levenhagen, presiding. Military honors will be accorded by the Minnesota National Guard.
