Marjorie Peterson, 83, of Lancaster, Minnesota passed away at Sanford Hospital in Fargo, North Dakota on Saturday, July 29th, 2023.

Marjorie Ann Hord was born October 20, 1939 in Hallock, Minnesota the daughter of August and Reta (Lang Lucas) Hord. Marjorie was baptized and confirmed in the Lutheran faith. She grew up in Hallock, Minnesota and attended school there. Marjorie married Gary Peterson in 1956 and moved to Peterson Family Farm in Lancaster where they raised their family and continued the family farm operation. Marjorie managed the Tax and Duty Free business at the Lancaster store until her retirement. She enjoyed managing the store and was very proud of the job she did. Marjorie was a member of Sion Lutheran Church.

Family members include her children, Greg (Crystal) Peterson, Lancaster, Beth Ann (Robert) Korczak, Bemidji, MN and Mark (Shirley) Peterson, Strathcona, MN; 8 grandchildren and 13 great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Gary in 2015; parents; brothers, Earl Lucas, Lowell Lucas, Harold Lucas and a sister, Vernita Lucas. Funeral services are scheduled for Friday, August 4, 2023 at 11:00 a.m. in Sion Lutheran Church, Lancaster. Tim Peterson, presiding; Dianne Rice, organist and Ron Fossell, Soloist. Honorary pall bearers will be the Ladies of WELCA.
