Marcella J. Cochran, 83, of Drayton, North Dakota passed away at Lutheran Sunset Home in Grafton on Sunday, March 20, 2016. Marcella Jeanette Kissner was born December 23, 1932 in Sioux City, Iowa to John and Winona (Nyreen) Kissner. She grew up in Sioux City and was a graduate of Central High School. As a young woman she moved with her family to Drayton. Marcella worked at Bechtel Dental in Drayton for several years. On May 22, 1957 she married James Cochran. Marcella was a homemaker, cub-scout leader and member of Drayton Methodist Church and Methodist Women. She has been a resident of Lutheran Sunset Home for the past year.
She is survived by her husband, Jim; sons, Gerald Carl (Cindy), Grand
Forks and Kim Terry (Joni) Fargo; a daughter, Jacqueline Olson, Erskine,
MN; six grandchildren; five great grandchildren; and two sisters, Sherry
(Raymond) Hanson, Drayton and Rhonda Shortridge, Prescott Valley, AZ.
Marcella was preceded in death by her parents and two infant brothers.
Funeral services are scheduled for Wednesday, March 23, 2016 at 11:00
a.m. in Drayton United Methodist Church. Interment will be in Drayton
City Cemetery. Visitation will be held at the church for one hour prior
to the funeral service. Rev. Gary Johnson, presiding; Shirley VanCamp
and Karen Schumacher will provide special music. Casket beaers will be
LuVern Grundstrom, Ron Corrick, Randy Schuster, Pete Anderson, Steve
Church and Bill Long.
