Obituary

Mae Younggren, 77, of Hallock, Minnesota passed away peacefully Friday evening, February 22nd, 2013 at Kittson Memorial Healthcare Center in Hallock after a courageous battle with cancer. Mae was born at Hallock May 28, 1935 to Enevold and Florence (Danielson) Willadson.She was a 1953 graduate of Hallock High School. On October 15, 1954 she was united in marriage to John Younggren at the Presbyterian Church in Hallock. They settled on the family farm where Mae began her career as a domestic engineer. She was a member of First Presbyterian Church. Family members include her husband, John; daughters, Roxanne Lawrence, Frazee, MN, Teresa (Paul) Clay, Hallock and Kristin (Wes) Wallenberg, Hallock; a son, John Jr., Augusta, MT; nine grandchildren, Derek, Alaina, Anthony, John, Breanna, Cory, Chelsey, Joshua and Marissa; 8 great grandchildren, Simon, Elsa, Oliver, Raimey, Elijah, Russell, Treycen and Beckett; two sisters; a brother; two sisters-in-law; and nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents and two brothers. Memorial services are scheduled for Wednesday, February 27, 2013 at 10:30 a.m. in the First Presbyterian Church at Hallock. Rev. Galen Nordin, presiding; Diane Younggren, organist and Rev. Galen Nordin, soloist. Honorary casket bearers will be Mae's grandchildren. Visitation will be held at the church on Tuesday evening from 6 to 8 p.m. with a prayer service at 7:00 p.m.
