Lorraine Rynning 93, of Hallock, Minnesota passed away at Kittson Memorial Healthcare Center in Hallock on Thursday, November 6, 2014. Lorraine was born at Lake Bronson, Minnesota December 30, 1920 to Albert and Mandi (Thompson) Anderberg. She attended school in Lake Bronson, graduating in 1940. On November 16, 1941 she married Axel Rynning Jr. at Zion Lutheran Church in Lake Bronson. They settled in Skane Township of Kittson County and spent their entire married lives there. Axel died on July 21, 1985. Lorraine moved into Kennedy in 2005 and became a resident of Kittson Memorial Healthcare Center in 2011. Lorraine and Axel enjoyed many winters in Palm Springs and Cathedral City, CA. She was a member of Red River Lutheran Church; a former choir member and Sunday school teacher. Family members include granddaughters, Kristi (Jon) Kegel and children, Sophia and Greta, Mary (Mark) Lear and children, Jordan, Seth and Kaylee; step grandchildren, Meridith (Todd) Gozdal and children, Tanner and Reed, Sharon (Greg) Kalka and children, Megan, Danielle and Kristen, Carl Lizakowski and children, Ashley and Kelsey; a sister-in-law, Melba Benson; nephew and niece, Lynn (Charlotte) Rynning and Sharron (Roger) Thompson; Susan Welu and other relatives. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, a son and daughter-in-law, A. Bradley and Beverly (Colsen Lizakowski) Rynning; and siblings, Grace, Arlene and Raymond. Funeral services are scheduled for Tuesday, November 11, 2014 at 11:00 a.m. in Red River Lutheran Church, rural Kennedy, Minnesota. Interment will be in the church cemetery. Rev. Frank Johnson, presiding; Charles and Patti Swanson, duet; Sharlene Klegstad, organist. Honorary casket bearers will be Rob Rynning, Tim Rynning, Darrel Johnson, Terry Osowski, Jason Cadieux and Greg Carlson. Visitation will be held at the church for one hour prior to the service on Tuesday.
