Lorraine Olsonawski, 55, of Lancaster, Minnesota passed away at Altru Hospital in Grand Forks on Sunday, May 18th, 2014. Lorraine Ann Wolf was born October 7, 1958 in Karlstad, Minnesota to Marlow and Dorothy (Hammerstrom) Wolf. She grew up in Poppleton Township near Lancaster and graduated from Lancaster High School in 1976. Lorraine married Dennis Olsonawski on April 23, 1976 at St. Patrick's Catholic Church in Hallock, Minnesota. They settled in Hill Township northwest of Hallock and farmed there. Lorraine and Dennis moved after the flood of 1979 and lived briefly in Hallock and Lancaster before returning to Hill Township to build a new home. They resided there until 2006 when they moved to the Wolf family homestead and built there. Lorraine was a member of St. Patrick's Catholic Church and Ladies Guild, the Lancaster Lions Club, served as director of the Lake Bronson DAC; and was currently on the All School Reunion committee for Lancaster. She cherished her grandchildren; enjoyed gardening, yardwork, cooking, sewing and was an avid youth hockey fan. She is survived by her husband, Dennis; sons, Nathan (Traci), Hallock, Brent (Angie), Rosemont, MN and Kevin (Jenny), Reno, NV; four grandchildren, Wyatt, Hayden, Jossilyn and Saydi; sisters, Jean Wolf, Karlstad and Clarice (Dick) Satterlund, Hallock; brother, Marlow Jr. (Barb) Wolf, East Grand Forks, MN; and many nieces and nephews. Lorraine was preceded in death by her parents; an infant brother, Larry; a niece, Julie; and nephew, William. Funeral services are scheduled for Thursday, May 22, 2014 at 10:00 a.m. in St. Patrick's Catholic Church, Hallock. Interment will be in Greenwood Cemetery, Hallock. Rev. William DeCrans, presiding; special music, St. Patrick's Choir, Pam Hunt, organist. Honorary casket bearers will be Lorraine's grandchildren. Casket bearers will be Jerry Olsonawski, David Olsonawski, Mark Ljungren, Nick Nicholson, Dick Satterlund and Shane Stewart. Visitation will be held at St. Patrick's on Wednesday evening from 6 to 8 p.m. with a prayer service at 7:00 p.m..
