Lori Muir, 59, of Grand Forks, North Dakota and formerly of Stephen, Minnesota passed away at Valley Eldercare Center in Grand Forks on Sunday, May 13, 2018.

Lori Fay Bukowski was born September 15, 1958 in Crookston, Minnesota to Louis and Hazel (Sundby) Bukowski.  Lori was baptized September 17, 1958 at First Lutheran Church in Stephen.  She graduated from Stephen High School on May 26, 1978.  Lori moved to Warren, Minnesota and worked at the Good Samaritan Nursing Home there. She later made her home in East Grand Forks.  She married Mark Muir at First Lutheran Church in  Stephen.  Mark passed away June 9, 2001.  Lori suffered a stroke and entered Valley Eldercare in 2008 where she was loved and cared for by the wonderful staff.  Lori was tender, soft spoken and never without a smile for everyone she met. She was a loyal Minnesota Twins fan and also enjoyed All Star Wrestling.  Reading, crossword puzzles, and playing cards were some of her favorite pastimes.

Family members include a brother, Lee (Jan) Bukowski, Stephen; a niece, Lindsey (Matthew) Olson, East Grand Forks, MN and a grand nephew, Kiptyn.  She was preceded in death by her parents, Louis and Hazel and her husband, Mark.

Memorial services are scheduled for Friday, May 18, 2018 at 2:00 p.m. in the chapel at Valley Eldercare.  Visitation will be from 1:30 until 2:00 p.m. Interment will be in the Stephen City Cemetery.
