Obituary

Lois Mosolf Kieley, 73, of East Grand Forks, Minnesota passed away at Altru Hospital in Grand Forks on Monday, June 26, 2017 after a courageous battle with cancer.  Lois Arlene Mosolf was born June 17, 1944 at Grafton, North Dakota to Herman and Mildred (Talley) Mosolf. She was baptized on August 27, 1944 at Trinity Lutheran Church and confirmed there on June 22, 1958.  Lois was member of the church until she moved to East Grand Forks and was currently a member of Immanuel Lutheran Church in Grand Forks.  Lois had various occupations throughout her life. She worked as a waitress at the Guest House in Roseau, Minnesota, was a Tech 1 at the North Dakota Highway Department and a bookkeeper at Kieley Electric. The job Lois most loved was caring for the children and helping clients at Support Systems.  Lois was active in various organizations and as a teenager she started Candy Stripers at the Warroad Hospital,  had served on  the board of Unity Hospital in Grafton, the Chamber of Commerce Gold Coats, Grafton Heritage Village, Grafton Centennial and the Grafton Historical Society.

She is survived by two sisters, Marlene (Donald) Bates of Drayton and Delores Evenson of East Grand Forks; a brother, Kenneth (Marilyn) Mosolf of Apache Junction, AZ; a sister-in-law, Clarice Mosolf of Drayton and several nieces and nephews.  She was preceded in death by her parents; a sister, Florence Mosolf; brothers, Marvin and Aldon; a brother-in-law, Bob Evenson; two nieces, Susan Mosolf and Linda Bates.

Funeral services are scheduled for Friday, June 30, 2017 at 10:00 a.m. in Trinity Lutheran Church at Drayton, North Dakota. Interment will be in Drayton City Cemetery. Visitation will be held at Austin Funeral Chapel in Drayton on Thursday evening from 6 to 8 p.m. with a prayer service at 7:00 p.m. Rev. Craig Fenske and Rev. Bernard Seter, presiding; Sheila Weinlaeder, organist and Rev. Seter, soloist. Casket bearers will be Rob Evenson, Aaron Evenson, Ryan Coye, Travis Coye, Jeff Bates and Derek Mosolf.  The family prefers memorials to the Grand Forks Circle of Friends Humane Society.
