Leo "Leroy" Woinarowicz, 79, of Moorhead, Minnesota and formerly of Drayton, North Dakota passed away at Golden Living Center in Moorhead on Saturday, February 4, 2017.  Leo Roy Woinarowicz was born in Drayton on June 30, 1937 the son of Walter and Polly (Osowski) Woinarowicz.  He grew up in the Drayton area and attended country school.  In 1956 he was united in marriage to Ardyce Soderfelt at St. Joseph's Mission Church. Leo worked at several Drayton area farms until his retirement. He moved to Fargo after he retired and then to Ashby, Minnesota. He has been a resident of Golden Living Center since October of 2016.

Family members include his children, Brian (Carol Rost) of Drayton, Jeff (Doni) of Atlanta, GA, Kyle of Duluth, MN, Monica of Blaine, MN, Wade of St. Cloud, MN and Barry (Michelle) of Grand Forks;  11 grandchildren; 7 great grandchildren, sisters, Darlene (Darrel) Ray of Robbinsdale, MN and Kay Woinarowicz of Minneapolis, a brother, Larry of St. Cloud; and a sister-in-law, Joanne Woinarowicz of Grand Forks; as well as nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by  his parents; sons, Kevin and Kim Woinarowicz; a grandson, Aaron Perry; and brothers, Ernest and Elmer.

Funeral services are scheduled for Thursday, February 9, 2017 at 2:00 p.m. in St. Edward's Catholic Church, Drayton. Interment will be in St. Edward's Cemetery, Drayton. Fr. Joseph Okogba and Deacon Mike Grzadzielewski, presiding; Sally Kliniske, organist; Renee Wahl, soloist. Casket bearers will be Leo's grandchildren. Visitation will be held at the church for one hour prior to the service.
