Lawrence Potrament, 93, of Lancaster, Minnesota passed away at Karlstad Healthcare Center on Saturday evening, November 22, 2014. Lawrence was born June 19, 1921 in Dodds, Alberta, Canada to William and Agnes (Wallenberg) Potrament. He grew up in Richardville Township of Kittson County and then moved with his family to St. Joseph's Township. Lawrence married Helen Boroski September 18, 1945 at Holy Rosary Catholic Church, Orleans, Minnesota. Lawrence and Helen bought a farm in Poppleton Township in 1945 and still reside there at this time. He was a life long member of Holy Rosary Church. Lawrence loved to farm and spend time with his livestock. He is survived by his wife, Helen; a son, Rodney (Ann) Potrament, Lancaster; grandson, Keith (Janelle Frei) Potrament, Lancaster; granddaughter, Debra (Butch) Kraska, Stephen, MN; six great grandchildren, Britta, Breanna, Cody, Kaitlyn, Casey and Marcus; a brother, Frankie Potrament and sister, Helen Boroski, Lancaster. He was preceded in death by his parents; a son, Leroy William; a daughter, Delores Ann; a daughter-in-law, Carol Potrament; brothers, Edward, Stanley and Leonard. Funeral services are scheduled for Wednesday, November 26th, 2014 at 10:30 a.m. in Holy Rosary Catholic Church, rural Lancaster. Interment will be in Holy Rosary Cemetery. Fr. Craig Vasek, presiding; St. Patrick's Choir, special music. Casket bearers will be great grandchildren. Visitation will be held at St. Patrick's Catholic Church in Hallock on Tuesday evening from 6 to 8 p.m. with a rosary service at 7:00 p.m. and prayer service to immediately follow.
