Kent Michael Albrecht, 46 years, died suddenly at his home in Fort Worth, Texas on February, 27 2017. Kent was born July 16, 1970 in Milwaukee, Wisconsin to Myron and Bernadine (Dahl) Albrecht. The family moved to Salina, Kansas in 1975 where Kent attended school. In 1986 they moved to Grand Forks, North Dakota. Kent graduated from Red River High School in 1989. He attended the University of North Dakota and worked at Toppers Restaurant as a chef, American Woods as a lathe operator and at Minn Dak Seeds. He was a 4-H member, Boy Scout, Cub Scout and enjoyed repairing and building computers and computer and audio systems. Kent was often the family "IT Help Desk" when something went wrong with a printer, scanner or computer. He was an avid reader and was a Harry Potter and Hobbit fan when there was only paperbacks available. Kent loved cats, especially his cat, Spaz but he also loved his Mom's cat, Tabby. Kent spent several years as his mom's primary caregiver, helping his mom with cooking, errands, appointments, yard work, household repairs and maintenance. He was the household baker and was always spending time in the kitchen experimenting with new recipes for cookies and bread.

Kent is survived by his mother Bernadine Albrecht; sisters Julie Albrecht and her husband Frank van Buskirk, and Wendy Albrecht, who all live in Fort Worth, Texas; several aunts, uncles and cousins.He was preceded in death by his father, Myron Albrecht; maternal grandparents Morris and Inez Dahl; paternal grandparents Edward and Anna Albrecht.

Funeral services will be held Saturday, March 18, 2017 at 2:00 pm at the Teien Covenant Church, rural Drayton, North Dakota. Burial will be in the Teien Covenant Cemetery at a later date.
