Kathryn Ann (Matthew) Hallberg, age 92, of Hallock, Minnesota passed away peacefully at Kittson Memorial Nursing Home on January 22, 2022.

She was born on March 21, 1929 in Hallock, Minnesota to George and Florence (Hare) Matthew. She grew up in Humboldt and attended school there in her younger years before graduating from Hallock High School. On December 23, 1950 she was united in marriage to Marvin Hallberg. They raised five daughters, Valerie, Val Jean, Vickie, Dee Verle and Jody.

She was a busy homemaker raising her five daughters and worked various jobs throughout the years including a cook at the Kennedy High School. She enjoyed following her grandchildren and great-grandchildren's sporting events throughout the years. She loved her family deeply and was so proud of everyone's accomplishments!

She is survived by her daughters, Valerie (Ernie) Pietruszewski of Brooklyn Park, Vickie Dahl of Hallock, Dee Verle (Danny) Haugstad of Hallock and Jody (Kevin) Nordine of Hallock; grandchildren, Bobbi Strom, Heather Hagen, Darrin Pietruszewski, Chad Lindgren, Shawna Hennen, Matthew Dahl, Emily Thompson, Lesley Miller, Darrick Haugstad, Dustyn Haugstad, Donavan Haugstad, Brant Johnson and Chadd Nordine; 29 great grandchildren and one great-great grandson. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Marvin; brothers, Everett and her twin brother Kenny; and sister, Margaret; her daughter, Val Jean Lindgren and two sons-in-law, Keith Lindgren and Conrad Dahl.

Private family funeral services will be held on Friday, January 28th, 2022 in Austin Funeral Chapel.
