Karl Ness, 69, of rural Hallock, Minnesota passed away quietly at home on Sunday, July 16, 2017.  Karl James Ness was born at Hallock on December 14, 1947 to Henry and Alice (Skogen) Ness.  He graduated from Lake Bronson High School and went on to attend Moorhead State College receiving his degree in Business Administration.  Karl returned to the area and worked at Polaris Industries in Roseau for over 20 years prior to his retirement.

He is survived by a daughter, Kari Martinson, Alexandria, MN; three grandchildren, James Nelson, River Falls, WI, Alicia Martinson, Hoffman, MN and Andrew Martinson, Alexandria; a sister, Merice (Ness) Blackberg and a brother, Terry Ness.  He was preceded in death by is parents and a brother, Avon.

Memorial services are scheduled for Wednesday, July 19, 2017 at 4:00 p.m. in Austin Funeral Chapel, Hallock. Visitation will be held for one hour prior to the service. Rev. Galen Nordin, presiding;  special music will be provided by Galen Nordin. Honorary casket bearers will be his grandchildren.
