Kari Kay Bowman passed away on Wednesday, December 4, 2024, at the Villa in Crookston. She will be missed by many friends and family.

Kari Kay was born July 31, 1970, to Keith (Bud) and Ann Bowman in Hallock, MN. She attended school in Kennedy/Hallock, graduating in 1990.

Upon graduation, she moved to Thief River Falls, MN, living at a few different group homes and working at the Occupational Development Center (ODC).

Due to failing health, she moved to the Villa in Crookston a few years ago, where she became an employee favorite.

Kari is survived by her sisters, Rae Anne (Mike) Van Camp, Patty (Doug) Roane, and brothers, John (Carol) and Rob (Jamie). She is also survived by nieces and nephews, Darcey, Erin, Gunnar, TJ, Jordan, Sam and Rylee; great nieces and nephews, Adrian, Cailey, Markus, AnnaLee, Levi, Mikey, and Axel; great-great nephew Maverick; and Aunt Polly Hedstrom. She was preceded in death by her parents, Bud and Ann, brother, Keith (Buddie), and nephews, Keith and Kevin.

A committal service will be held on June 12, 2025, at 3:00 p.m. at Greenwood Cemetery in Hallock, MN. Family and friends will gather at the Last Chance Trading Post wine bar in Hallock following the committal service.
