Julia M. Kleven, 71, of Karlstad, Minnesota died at Karlstad Healthcare Center on Monday, July 28th, 2014. Julia Lindstrom was born July 28, 1943 in Kittson County, Minnesota, the daughter of George and Ada Lindstrom. On September 17, 1969 she married Marvin Kleven at Karlstad. The couple made their home near Karlstad and raised five children there. Her hobbies included baking bread, picking cranberries, chokecherries and spending time with her children. Julia also worked at the Karlstad Nursing Home for 10 years. Julia is survived by her children, Rosetta M. (Bruce) Lorezel, Faribault, MN, Lee Kleven, Hibbing, MN, Melody Anderson, Stephen, MN, Lonnie Kleven and Billy Kleven of Karlstad; grandchildren, Tiffany Marie, Bailey, Anthony, Rebecca and Michaela; and a brother, George Lindstrom, Karlstad. She was preceded in death by her parents; and siblings, infant Roslee, Cora, Lora, Beatrice, Marie, Deloris, Eric and Doris; and a sister-in-law, Joan Lindstrom. Funeral services are scheduled for Friday, August 1, 2014 at 2:00 p.m. in Karlstad Gospel Tabernacle Church. Interment will be in Eidsvold Lutheran Cemetery, rural Halma. Visitation will be held at the church for one our prior to the funeral service. Rev. Mark Hanson, presiding. Dion Larson, soloist and Joyce Jorgenson, pianist. Casket bearers will be family and friends.
