Josie Woodard, 77, of Hallock, Minnesota passed away at Kittson Memorial Healthcare Center in Hallock on Wednesday, June 12, 2013. Josie Lerma was born in San Antonio, Texas December 9, 1935 to Juan and Camilla (Pithardio) Lerma. She was baptized and confirmed in San Antonio and graduated from Tech High School. Josie moved to Hallock in 1978. She was a child care provider for many years and worked for several years at the Gateway Motel. Josie enjoyed bingo, watching professional wrestling and cheering on the Dallas Cowboys. She was a member of Grace Lutheran Church. Family members include a daughter, Lori (Randall) Masloski, Lancaster; sons, Daniel (Sara) Woodard, Hallock and John (Terri) Strength, Roseau, MN; 6 grandchildren, Amanda, Jessica, Janesa, Garett, Grant and Jared; two great grandchildren, Ezra and Tytan; sisters, Nena (Roberto) Hevedia and Mickey Aguillen, both of Union City, CA. She was preceded in death by her parents; two step sisters; a step brother; three nephews; a niece; and brother-in-law, Rudy. Memorial services are scheduled for Tuesday, June 18, 2013 at 7:00 p.m. in Zion Lutheran Church at Lake Bronson. Visitation will be held in the church for two hours prior to the memorial service. Interment will be in Union Liberty Cemetery, rural Hallock. Pastor Kathy Levenhagen, presiding; Renee Wahl, organist and soloist. Honorary casket bearers will be Josie's Grandchildren and the Kittson Memorial Healthcare Staff.
