John Henry Sundby was born on January 18, 1923 in Parker Township near Stephen, Minnesota.  John passed away on October 4, 2018 in Glen Rose Nursing & Rehab Center in Glen Rose, Texas.

He continued working on the farm until in his eighties and then enjoyed driving around checking on the crops and watching the young men working.  He loved playing cards and that became a nightly past time each evening with his siblings.  John had a happy disposition and a quick wit and always enjoyed a little humor.  He was a member of First Lutheran Church and a lifetime member of the Stephen American Legion Post #390.
