John Andrew Anderson Sr. of Oklee, Minnesota passed away peacefully on February 16, 2018 at Altru Hospital in Grand Forks, North Dakota.  John was born to Ingvald and Elizabeth (Docken) Anderson on December 28, 1944 in Halma, Minnesota.  John attended school in Middle River, Minnesota. He enjoyed playing and watching sports throughout his life.  On December 29, 1977 he married Rhonda Howard.

Family members include his wife, Rhonda; children, Darnell (Tony), John Jr. (Darla), Monica (Dion), Jason (Tabitha), Donny (Kippy), Jake (Laura), Jeremy (Carrie), Amanda (Dylan) and Andrew (Noel); a brother, David; several grandchildren; great grandchildren; nieces, nephews and special companion, Jasper. He was preceded in death by his parents; two sisters; three brothers; a daughter, Brenda; a son, Douglas; and grandson, Andrew.

Funeral services are scheduled for Wednesday, February 21, 2018 at 10:30 a.m. in the Assembly of God Church in Hallock.  Interment will be in Riverview Memorial Garden Cemetery, Lancaster, MN.  Visitation will be held at the church for one hour prior to the service.
