Johanna Olsonawski, 94, of Hallock, Minnesota passed away on Tuesday evening, January 15th, 2013. Johanna was born May 24, 1918 in Orleans MN to Adam & Cezaria Gorski. She married Andrew Olsonawski on September 30, 1941. They lived and farmed in Hill township of Kittson County. In 1989 Johanna moved into Hallock. She was an active member of St. Patricks church and loved going with friends to play cards and Bingo. She was a wonderful mother and grandmother and everyone was always welcome at her home. She is survived by four children, Richard (Sandy) Olsonawski, Federal Way, Washington, Joan (Gerald) Karol, Howard Lake, MN, Larry (Janet) Olsonawski, Hallock MN and Cindy (Todd) Nelson, Lancaster, MN; a sister Victoria (Leonard) Burnham,Yuma, AZ; two brothers, Benjamin (Al) Gorski, Springfield, MN, Edward (Barb) Gorski, Inver Grove Heights, MN; 6 grandchildren, Troy Olsonawski, Stephanie Olsonawski, Stacy Horsch, Tad Olsonawski, Lance Nelson and Luke Nelson and 9 great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Andrew Olsonawski; sisters, Bernice Gorski and Eva Hatmann; brothers, John Gorski and Carl Gorski and a grandson, Gregory Karol. Funeral services for Johanna are scheduled for Saturday, January 19, 2013 at 10:00 a.m. in St. Patrick's Catholic Church, Hallock. Interment will be in Greenwood Cemetery, Hallock. Rev. William DeCrans, presiding; special music provided by St. Patrick's Choir, Pam Hunt, organist. Casket bearers will be Joe Olsonawski, Jeff Reese, Dennis Olsonawski, Scott Olsonawski, Charles Olsonoski and David Gorski. Visitation will be held at the church on Friday evening from 6 to 8 p.m. with a prayer service at 7:00 p.m.
