James J. Williams, 58, of Hallock, Minnesota passed away at Altru Hospital in Grand Forks, North Dakota on April 15, 2015. James was born January 6, 1957 at Camden, New Jersey to James and Geneva (Peterson) Williams. He grew up in Minnesota and upper Michigan. On August 3, 1980 he married Ellen Feathers at Glenco, Minnesota. He moved to Rapid River, Michigan in 1980 and they raised two sons there. James loved fishing, hunting and photography. In 2006 he moved to Hallock. He is survived by brothers, Francis Cauthorn, Bryn Athyn, PA, Christopher (Tina) Sykes, Pontiac, MI; sisters, Rosemary (Tom) Baker, Humboldt, MN, Elizabeth Pitzen, Mayfield, KY; sons, Michael Williams, Rapid River, MI and Jeremy (Cindy) Williams, Gladstone, MI; six grandchildren and special cousin, Jennifer (Brian) Hanson; as well as nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents. James was a very special person who always stayed connected to family. It was through his efforts that our brother, Francis Cauthorn, was reunited with us after 30 years. Memorial services are scheduled for Friday, May 29th, 2015 at 2:00 p.m. in the Austin Funeral Chapel, Hallock, Minnesota.
