Harold Soberaski, 75, of Stephen and formerly of Hallock, Minnesota passed away at his home on Wednesday, October 7, 2015. Harold Leonard Soberaski was born September 17, 1940 at Hallock to Harry and Mary (Smidt) Soberaski. Harold graduated from Hallock High School and began working with his father after completing his education. In 1962 he married Eileen Hanson. Harold started his own business, Soberaski Incorporated, in 1979. His company did water and sewer contracting in many area communities. On January 25, 1983 he married Mary Jo Bienek. They settled in Hallock and in 1998 moved to Stephen. Harold was a kind and generous man. He was always up for good conversation and enjoyed operating heavy equipment. Family members include his wife, Mary Jo; a daughter, Shari Reynolds (Paul Carlson), Grand Forks, ND; a son, Jay, Stephen; three granddaughters, Jessica, Alissa and Taylor; two great granddaughters, Zoey and Aria; his mother, Mary, Karlstad, MN and two nephews, Justin and Ryan Soberaski. He was preceded in death by his father, Harry and a brother, Rodney. The family wishes to express their sincere appreciation to Dr. Casey Ryan for his kindness and professionalism when caring for Harold, his nurse Rachelle Folland for her outstanding concern and care and for Altru home health service, "You are truly special people". "We love you Harold and will miss you forever." A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Monday, October 12, 2015 at 2:00 p.m. in St. Patrick's Catholic Church, Hallock. Interment will be in Greenwood Cemetery, Hallock. Visitation will be held at the church for one hour prior to the mass. A rosary service will be held at 1:00 p.m. Fr. Craig Vasek and Fr. George Noel, presiding; Bernadette Borowicz, soloist; Carol Monroe, accompanist and Sharlene Klegstad, organist. Honorary casket bearers will be Dacian Bienek, Greg Kuhn, Jack Hendrickson and Robert Schmidt. Casket bearers will be Robert Bienek, Michael Bienek, Ryan Soberaski, Tony Blaze, Zachery Swalley and Roger Hoeper.
