Gordon (Gordy) Wayne Gabbert passed away on June 30, 2017 at Valley Eldercare in Grand Forks, ND. He was 77 years old.

Gordy was born on February 9, 1940 in Breckinridge, MN to his parents Lawrence and Verna (Feldmann) Gabbert. He attended grade school in rural Grafton and agricultural school in Crookston, MN. Gordy married Janice Polo of Floodwood, MN on October 8, 1966. Following the wedding, Gordy and Janice moved to rural Grafton, ND where they raised their 6 children.

Gordy was a semi truck driver and enjoyed traveling throughout the US. He was passionate about John Deere tractors, Ford trucks, and having coffee with his friends. Gordy was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church in Drayton, ND.

Gordy is survived by his wife Janice, their 6 children; Dana Eades, Amy (Brian) Erovick, Lisa (Mike) Dupree, Wayne (Stacey) Gabbert, Larry (Annie) Gabbert, Sarah (Travis) Ostlie, 13 grandchildren, 4 great-grandchildren, and his siblings Yvonne Myster, Valeda Gabbert, Harvey (Nancy) Gabbert, and Joyce (Joe) Snell. Gordy was preceded in death by his parents Lawrence and Verna Gabbert, and his brother in law Lloyd Myster.

Visitation will be held from 12-2pm on Thursday July 6 at Trinity Lutheran Church in Drayton. Funeral services with a luncheon to follow will begin at 2pm. He will be laid to rest at Zion Cemetery, rural Grafton.
