Gladys M. Olson went home to her Lord and Savior on Thursday, August 29, 2013 while under the care of Hospice and Eventide Nursing Home in Moorhead. Born October 14, 1927 at her Grandparents farm south of Donaldson, MN to Lawrence and Carrie (Johnson) Amacher. She was baptized and confirmed at St. Olaf's Lutheran Church in Donaldson. Gladys graduated from Stephen High School in 1945. She married Robert Olson on February 2, 1946. Gladys worked as a painter, at Arctic Cat and was supervisor of Housekeeping and Laundry at the Kittson Memorial Hospital in Hallock. She enjoyed bowling, playing cards, was an active member of the Eagles Auxiliary and was very active in the Senior Center, Hallock. Gladys will be greatly missed by her daughter, Susan Bagaas; granddaughter, Carrie (Mark) Pierce; two great grandsons; Colton and Wyatt Pierce; one sister, Joyce Nordine and numerous nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by her husband, parents and grandparents, sister, Dolly Heddan, mother in law and father in law. Her family would like to express great appreciation to Hospice of the Red River Valley and Eventide Nursing Home for all their loving care these last few months. Memorial services were held at Grace Lutheran Church in Hallock, Minnesota on Thursday, September 5, 2013.
