Obituary

Francyl Morene (Cooper) Eberle, 102, passed away at the Kittson Memorial Nursing Home on September 30, 2018.

Francyl was born September 10,
1916, in Pattonsburg, Missouri, to Clyde and Ethel (Devers) Cooper.  She attended school at Pattonsburg, and later married Irvan "Shorty" Eberle on April 6, 1936. They resided in Pattonsburg and welcomed a daughter, Leah Anne, on August 5, 1941, and a son, John Irvan, on October 13, 1945.

Fran enjoyed gardening, canning, baking, golfing, reading, playing cribbage and "sol".  She loved watching football, golf and Steph Curry (and other sports to pass the time)!!! She enjoying watching her children, grandchildren, great grandchildren and great-great grandchildren grow.  She and Shorty were a big part of the Bethany Bowling League and also the Bethany Country Club.

When Shorty passed away in 1986, Fran moved north to Lancaster, MN. Upon moving to Lancaster, she spent many hours at the Lancaster Riverside Golf Club and at the restaurant downtown.  She was known for her peanut butter fudge, bourbon balls, and butterfinger pie! She was known as "Grandma Fran" to everyone. Fran moved into the Senior Housing and resided there until August 30, 2018, when she was moved to the Kittson Memorial Nursing Home.

Fran is survived by her son, John, grandchildren: Shirley (Leland) Swenson, Donald Burton (Jen Rice), Pat (Donna) Burton, Mendy (Randy) Coffield. Son-in-law, Gary Burton and special friend, Joyce Glad.  Great grandchildren: Amber Conley, Lacey (Lance) Lupien, Tyler (Brittany) Swenson, Cody Swenson (Taryn Ohmann), Courtney (James) Hauert, Lynnaea Rice (Todd McBride), Nathan Rice, Kayla (Travis) Walden, Samantha Burton (Chris Aragon), Whitney (Josh) Carr, Brady (Hayley) Coffield, and Trevor Coffield.  Great-great grandchildren: Jazmyn, Lincoln, Leah, Mason, Rhett, Kane, Jagger, Paityn, Karleigh, Dakota, Parker, Easton, Colton, and Iris. Nieces, Sharman (Terry) Hoover, Pamela (Bob) Boyle, Shelly (Eric) Ellis, nephew, Mark (Vickie) Hoig and many great and great-great nieces and nephews.

Fran is preceded in death by her parents, Clyde and Ethel, her siblings Marjorie Hoig and Arlen Cooper, her husband, Shorty, her daughter, Leah, and many, many, great friends.

A private family service will be held at the Austin Funeral Home on Wednesday, October 3rd.
