Obituary

EmmaJean Clow, 98, died December 19, 2013, in North Bend, Washington. EmmaJean was born November 26, 1915, the daughter of Frederick James and Gladys (Eaton) Grady, in Bismarck. She attended elementary school in Bismarck. She moved with her family to Grand Forks, where she attended high school, graduating in 1932. In 1936, she graduated from the University of North Dakota. She married Warren Clow on June 8, 1941, in Grand Forks and moved to St. Vincent, Minnesota. She taught school for 28 years in St. Vincent, Lake Bronson, Neche, and Pembina. Warren died in 1987. She was a member of the Pioneer United Methodist Church in Pembina. She is survived by two daughters, Carol (Fred) Lawrence, Snoqualmie, Washington, and Margaret (Michael) Hodor, Millersville, Maryland. Also surviving are two grandsons, Mark Lawrence and Jacob Wenz, three great-grandchilden, and nine nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her sisters Margaret Fisher and Leah (Betty) Griffith. Visitation will be at the Austin Funeral Home in Hallock, MN, Friday, May 2, at 7 p.m. Services will be held Saturday, May 3, 2014, 11 a.m. at the Pioneer Methodist Church in Pembina.
