Dorothy Ida Clara Danielson, 88, of Drayton, North Dakota died peacefully at Altru Hospital in Grand Forks, North Dakota on Thursday, August 24, 2017 surrounded by her family.  Dorothy was born the daughter of Thomas and Ida Keyes on October 15, 1928 in Roseau, Minnesota.   Dorothy worked on the farm while attending Drayton High School and later in life worked as a waitress at the Spinning Wheel Restaurant in Drayton. On October 3, 1947 she married Dennis Lynwood Danielson.  She was a member of Drayton Lutheran Church and was an active member of the American Legion Auxiliary.  Most will remember Dorothy as a hard working mother who loved her family and also the luck of the Irish. Dorothy loved to garden, play golf, play bingo and spending time with her family. She was an inspiration to all who knew her.

Dorothy is survived by five children, Dennis Danielson (Bonnie) Lake Havasu, Judy Brown Ebertowski (Rod), Grand Forks, Mark Danielson, Drayton, Thomas Danielson (Elia) Escondido, CA and Mavis Keena (Neil), Drayton; grandchildren, Kristy Herring (Damion), Fargo, Tim Danielson (Erin), St. Paul, Robb Brown, Thompson, ND, Michael Brown (Traci), Minto, Crystal Busch (David), Ohio, Jennifer Danielson, Roseau, Lisa Kaml, Grand Forks, Yousey, Lady and Geovani, Villa, Mexico,  Tarri Keena, Drayton, Brandon Keena, Drayton, Bradley Keena, Grand Forks and Sarah Hanson, Drayton; many great-grandchildren and great-greatgrandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Dennis; and daughter, Brenda.

Funeral services are scheduled for Thursday, August 31st at 10:00 a.m. in Drayton Lutheran Church. Interment will be in the Drayton City Cemetery. Visitation will be held on Wednesday evening from 6 to 8 p.m. in Austin Funeral Chapel, Drayton with a prayer service at 7:00p.m. Pastor Joh Dryburgh, presiding; Linda Merrill, organist and Shirley Van Camp, soloist. Casket bearers will be Damion Herring, Robb Brown, Tim Danielson, Michael Brown, Brandon Keena and Bradley Keena.
