Donald D. Staskivige Sr. 74, of Drayton, North Dakota passed away at Altru Hospital in Grand Forks on Thursday, May 5, 2016.  Donald Duane Staskivige was born at Drayton September 2, 1941 to Robert and Alma (Arnevick) Staskivige.  He grew up in Drayton and attended school there. On June 20, 1965 he married Linda Paulson at Warren, Minnesota.  They settled in St. Thomas, North Dakota where Donald worked for Collins Construction . They moved to a farm near Stephen, Minnesota and then to Drayton.  Donald  worked at American Crystal Sugar Company as a track mobile operator and 1st house mechanic for over 20 years.  He was a member of St. Edward's Catholic Church and Grain Millers Union #326.

Family members include his wife, Linda; daughters, Kelly (David) Nord, Grafton and Kimberly Staskivige, Drayton; a son, Donnie (Lisa) Staskivige, Drayton; grandchildren, David Englund, Drayton, Lindsay Nord, Grafton, and Matthew Nord, Grafton; great grandchildren, Hunter, Addison, Sophie, Owen, Christian and Charlie; brothers, Frank (Margaret) Staskivige, Drayton, Dean (Betty) ) Staskivige, Drayton, Ronnie (Pam) ) Staskivige, Grand Rapids, MN and Bob (Gloria)  Staskivige, Grand Rapids, MN; sisters, Linda (Tom) Grzadzieleski, Drayton and Shirley Bill, Drayton. He was preceded in death by his parents; brothers, Michael and Garfield; and a sister, Elaine Olson.

Funeral services are scheduled for Tuesday, May 10, 2016 at 11:00 a.m. in St. Edward's Catholic Church, Drayton. Interment will be in St. Edward's Cemetery. Fr. Joseph Okogba, presiding; Sally Kliniske, organist and Amber Brown, soloist.  Honorary pallbearers will be Donnie Staskivige Jr, grandchildren and great grandchildren. Pallbearers will be Steve Staskivige, Frank Staskivige, Ronnie Staskivige, Bob Staskivige, Dean  Staskivige and Ray Chavers.  Visitation will be at St. Edward's Catholic Church on Monday evening from 6 to 8 p.m. with a prayer service at 7:00 p.m.
