Daniel J. Rudnick, 86, of Drayton, North Dakota, passed away at his home on Friday, September 23, 2016.  Daniel Joseph Rudnick was born September 12, 1930 in Drayton to Paul and Gertrude (Grzadzieleski) Rudnick.  He was baptized at St. Edward's Catholic Church and in his youth served as an altar boy.  Dan graduated from Drayton High School in 1948 and enlisted in the U.S. Air Force. After completing his military service he attended college and became a master electrician.  Dan worked as an electrical contractor in the area for many years.  On August 14, 1987 he married Lola Eli in Drayton.  He loved golf and hunting.  Dan was a lifelong member of St. Edward's and was an active member of Drayton American Legion Post 159, serving as a District Commander and Adjutant.

Family members include his wife, Lola; a sister, Marjorie Brink, Louisville, KY; six step children, Tony (Sue) Crissman, Westbranch, MI, Tim Crissman, Baldwin, MI, Gloria Crissman, Dearborn, MI, Jaci (Les) Zimmerman, Bismarck, ND, Tina Drewett, Jamestown, ND and Herb Crissman in Alaska. He was preceded in death by his parents; a sister, Josephine and a brother, Francis.

Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Tuesday, September 27, 2016 at 11:00 a.m. in St. Edward's Catholic Church, Drayton.  Interment will be in St. Edward's Cemetery. Rev. Joseph Okogba, presiding; Sally Kliniske, organist. Casket bearers will be Robert Merrill, Jim Weinlaeder, Jom Swegarden, Jim Swegarden, Jed Swegarden and Jeff Swegarden. Visitation will be held at the church on Monday evening from 6 to 8 p.m. with a prayer service at 7:00 p.m.
