Dallas Johnson, 45, of Lake Bronson, Minnesota passed away at Kittson Memorial Hospital in Hallock, Minnesota on Friday, November 8, 2013. Dallas was born at Karlstad, Minnesota to Denal and Arlene Johnson on January 26, 1968. He grew up near Lancaster, Minnesota and was a 1986 graduate of Lancaster High School. Dallas went on to enroll in the carpentry program at Moorhead State Technical College, graduating in 1988. On July 11, 1992 he was united to Michelle Sorenson at Grace Lutheran Church in Hallock. They settled at their current home near Lake Bronson shortly after their marriage. Dallas did carpentry work for many years and was currently farming for his brother-in-law, Todd Sorenson. Dallas enjoyed hunting, fishing, cooking and canning a variety of foods. He was a loving husband and father and his boys meant the world to him. He had a sense of humor that endeared him to family and friends. Dallas is survived by his wife, Michelle; sons, Logan at Concordia College and Jackson at home; his mother, Arlene Johnson, Lancaster; a sister, Kelly (Terry) Kukowski, Lancaster; brothers, Faron (Tana) Johnson, Hallock and Shane (Denise) Johnson, Lake Bronson; father and mother-in-law, David and Jean Sorenson, Hallock; grandma, Ruby Sorenson, Hallock; brothers-in-law, Todd (Tawnya) Sorenson, Hallock and Jeff Sorenson, Salem, sisters-in-law, Terri (Byron) Christopherson, Lancaster, MN, Julie Sorenson, Larsen, WI, Jodi Sorenson, Corvallis, and Dawn Sorenson, Winsted, MN; and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his father, Denal and an infant brother, Derek. Memorial services are scheduled for Thursday, November 14th, 2013 at 11:00 a.m. in Grace Lutheran Church at Hallock. Visitation will be held at the church on Wednesday evening from 6 to 8 p.m. with a prayer service at 7:00 p.m. Rev. Frank Johnson, presiding; Rene Wahl, organist and Galen Nordin, soloist. Honorary casket bearers will be his mother, Arlene, sister, Kelly and brothers, Faron and Shane.
