Charles Gatheridge died peacefully at Kittson Memorial Nursing Home Wednesday, December 16, 2015.  Charles William Gatheridge was born June 4, 1939, in Hallock, MN to Carl and Lois (Cameron) Gatheridge.  He attended school in Humboldt, MN, and then transferred his junior year to Crookston Agricultural School where he graduated in 1957.  On September 10, 1961 Charles was united in marriage to Marilyn Clow.  They lived in Stephen, MN and in Hallock, MN before moving back to the family farm in 1974.  They spent the next 34 years on the farm until they retired in 2008.  Charles and Marilyn were blessed with four children.  Charles loved to farm, fix things, and put machinery together for different dealers.  Charles was an active member in Kittson County Farm Bureau and the Pembina Evangelical Free Church.  He enjoyed camping, traveling all over the world, playing Skip-Bo, putting puzzles together, and spending time with his family and friends.

Charles is survived by his wife of 54 years, Marilyn; children, David (Judy), Franklin, TN, Kari Olson (David), Bemidji, MN and Paul (LeAnn), Humboldt, MN; grandchildren, Zachary (Laura) Gatheridge, Brooke (John) Peitzman, Isaiah (Missy) Gatheridge, Jordan and Grant Olson, TJ, Lora, and Katelyn Gatheridge; 2 great-grandchildren, Pierce Peitzman and Liam Gatheridge; brother, Douglas (Charlotte), Richfield, MN, sister, Helen Gatheridge, Shoreview, MN, brother-in-law Mark Monson, Spring Grove, MN and many nieces and nephews.  He was preceded in death by his parents, son John Gatheridge and sister Carlene Monson.

Funeral services are scheduled for Sunday, December 20, 2015 at 3:00 p.m. in Pembina Evangelical Free Church, Pembina, North Dakota. Interment will be in Greenwood Cemetery, Hallock. Rev. Mason Peters, presiding; LeAnn Gatheridge, soloist and Karen Ohmann, organist. Honorary casket bearers will be Zachary, Isaiah , Brooke, Lora and Katelyn Gatheridge. Casket bearers will be Jordan Olson, Grand Olson, T.J. Gatheridge, Steve Breiland, Duane Waller and Donald Gatheridge. Visitation will be held on Saturday evening at Austin Funeral Chapel in Hallock from 6 to 8 p.m. with a prayer service at 7:00.
