Evans spent his life farming east of Kennedy along with his brother Kennard. He learned to fly while in his teens and owned and operated Anderson Air spray for over 50 years. He was an exceptional pilot and loved airplanes. He particularly enjoyed going to the annual. EAA Airshow in Wisconsin with his sons. He was an avid outdoor person. He enjoyed his time in the woods and especially our annual lake trout fishing trips to Canada.
Evans will always be remembered for his love of people and for love for his “church family”. His positive attitude was an inspiration to all. He could always see the bright side of things and his favorite phrase was “that’s just great!” Evans was a long time member of the Evangelical Mission Covenant Church. His Christian faith was a very important part of his life. He loved his Savior and wanted everyone to know Jesus and go to heaven! He would witness to most everyone he met and carried a copy of the “Four Spiritual Laws” in his pickup just in case someone needed one.

Joan Marie passed away on January 6, 1953, after living only a few days. Joy passed away on April 23, 1972, at the age of 39, following a nine-month battle with bone cancer.
Evans fell in love again and on November 6, 1976, married Joanne (Ward) Marchus. She brought three young daughters, Karin, Renee, and Denise to the household and family. He considered them his very own. Joanne passed away unexpectedly on January 24, 2024. Evans and Joanne were married forty-eight years.
Evans is survived by daughter Carol (Dean) Carlson, Kennedy, David (Joan) Anderson, Roseau, Richard (DeEtte) Anderson, Brainerd, Michael (Joni) Anderson, Hallock, Karin Anderson, Grand Forks, Renee (Jason) Tangquist, Crookston, and Denise (Stuart) Michalicek, Bemidji, 21 grandchildren, 38 great-grandchildren, and sister Ardyce Peterson of Wisconsin.
He was preceded in death by his parents, wives Joy and Joanne, daughter Joan Marie, brother Kennard and sister Junette. Evans was looking forward to a wonderful reunion in heaven!
