Caroline Boroski, 90, of Hallock, Minnesota passed away at Valley Eldercare in Grand Forks, North Dakota on Saturday, September 7, 2013. Caroline Lipinski was born February 14, 1923 to Carl and Stella (Zaleski) Lipinski in St. Joseph Township of Kittson County, Minnesota. She grew up on the family farm and attended country school. On May 6, 1942 she married Anton Boroski at the Holy Rosary Catholic Church, rural Lancaster, Minnesota. They farmed for many years in St. Joseph Township, moving to Hallock in 1977. Caroline worked at Kittson Memorial Hospital for several years prior to her retirement. Anton passed away on September 2, 1997. Caroline has been a resident of Valley Eldercare for the past three years. She was a member of St. Patrick's Catholic Church, the Ladies Guild and the Hallock Senior Citizens. Caroline enjoyed craftwork and embroidery. She is survived by a daughter, Marian (Larry) Paulson, Lancaster and a granddaughter, Brandy (Kjell) Johnsrud, Red Lake Falls, MN; as well as nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband and a sister, Julia. Funeral services are scheduled for Saturday, September 14, 2013 at 10:00 a.m. in St. Patrick's Catholic Church, Hallock. Interment will be in Greenwood Cemetery, Hallock. Fr. William DeCrans, presiding; Sharlene Klegstad, organist. Casket bearers will be Rodney Potrament, Terry Anderson, James Wallenberg and Joey Boroski. Visitation will be held at the Austin Funeral Chapel on Friday from 4 to 6 p.m. with a prayer service at 5:00 p.m.
