Obituary

Carol J Bolduc, 87, a resident of Stephen, MN, and Mesa, AZ, died on Friday, January 2, 2026, after a brief illness at Banner Heart Hospital, Mesa, AZ.

Carol was born in Drayton, ND, to Henry & Pearl (Marynik) Glenn on December 26, 1938. Baptized and confirmed at St. Edwards Catholic Church where she began her lifelong relationship with her faith and service to the Lord!  She was a member of St. Stephens Catholic Church in Stephen, MN, where she served in many ways, including Eucharistic Minister, Sacristan, Usher, Choir, Reader, and Ladies Aide.

Carol met the love of her life, Wallace (Wally) Bolduc at a dance, and they were married on June 18, 1958.  After marriage, they lived on a farm in rural Stephen, MN, and then on to Hallock, MN.  It was there that they had their 3 children. In 1967, they returned to Stephen, MN, so Wally could start farming with his brother, Robert.  While living in Stephen, Carol was one of the cooks at the Stephen School for approximately 30 years.

Her greatest joys were raising her children, gardening, canning the fruits of her labor, planting flowers around her home, crafting, and quilting. She cherished time spent with family and friends in Stephen and Mesa, fishing at Lake of the Woods, and attending some of her grandchildren's school events. Carol spent the last 10 winters in Mesa where she took up pickleball, golfing, and playing cards with both old and new friends. She was also known as having a vibrant personality and always up for a new adventure, whether it was in Stephen or AZ.

Carol is survived by her children, Peggy (Larry) Riopelle, Argyle, MN, Jeff (Julie) Bolduc of Stephen, MN, and Tammy (Paul) Woodstrom of Grand Forks, ND.  She is also survived by her grandchildren, Josh Kostrzewski, Haley Riopelle, Mikayla and Megan Bolduc, and Kailie Woodstrom; great granddaughter, Quincy Griffin; step-grandchildren, Jessica Riopelle and Alissa Lucio; and step great grandchildren, Zoey, Aria, Kyra, Lizia, Leah, and Jaxon.  She is also survived by her sister, Pat Krolak; brother-in-law, Richard (Beverly) Bolduc; and several nieces and nephews.

Carol was preceded in death by her parents, Henry and Pearl Glenn, her husband, Wally, and other family members.
