Brittany Lynn
Funaiole
May 13, 1994 — Jan 1, 2023
Drayton
Brittany Lynn Funaiole, 28, passed away on January 1, 2023.
Brittany was born in Breckenridge, Minnesota on May 13, 1994, to Bob and Jessica. She grew up in Drayton, North Dakota, graduating from Drayton Public School in 2012. Brittany continued her education at Northland Community and Technical College while working at Paradiso; she thoroughly enjoyed her employment at Paradiso and frequented there often after moving on to other employment. She never passed up a Flautas Platter. On May 5, 2017, she married Justin Hanson. In July of 2018, Remington Justin was born and brought great joy and purpose to her life. In December of 2020, she moved back home to Drayton and was working remotely for US Bank. In early 2021, she found happiness and love with Jeremy Talamantes. They lived together in Grand Forks, North Dakota, where Brittany started working for KodaBank. Through her relationship with Jeremy, she gained a second family, all of whom she loved greatly, but Jeremy's mother, Claudine, held a special place in her heart. Brittany and Jeremy's sweet baby girl, Ivy Mae, was born in April of 2022. Brittany unquestionably loved her children with her entire heart and soul. She was also the best "TeeTee" to her nephew and niece, Jasper and Suttyn.
Brittany also had a love for dogs, pit bulls in particular. She enjoyed crafting and making homemade gifts for her friends and family. Brittany was always so excited to gift these that she would end up telling you what it was before you got the chance to open it. To be loved by Brittany was a feeling no one will ever forget. Brittany had been dealing with mental health difficulties for quite some time. She was so brave and so strong for many years. She leaves us knowing that she is no longer struggling with this illness.
Brittany is survived by her children, Remington Justin and Ivy Mae; her true love, Jeremy; parents, Bob and Jessica; siblings, Bryanna (Scott), Robby (Samantha), Erynn (Shawn), Amy (Jordan), aunts; Cathy, Rachel (Jim), Hannah, Patricia (Wayne), Beverly (Rick), and numerous nieces and nephews. Brittany was preceded in death by both her maternal and paternal grandparents, Paul and JoAnn Funaiole, Steve and Lorinda Smith; great-grandparents, Julius and Jeanette Hovdeness, Bob and Fern Smith; and most recently, sister, Kym Weinzirl.
A special thanks to all of Brittany's friends for the compassion, love, and care they showed her throughout her struggles.
