Bonnie Puppe, 82, of Drayton, North Dakota passed away at Unity Medical
Center in Grafton, North Dakota on Tuesday, September 19, 2017.
Bonnie
Rae Harlow was born in Drayton August 25, 1935 to Harry and Selma
(Nelson) Harlow. She attended high school in Drayton, North Dakota and
graduated from Aakers Business College in Grand Forks, North Dakota. She
entered into marriage to Willis Puppe on June 26, 1955 in Drayton. The
couple settled in Grafton for several years before returning to Drayton,
and in 2010 returned back to Grafton to reside. Bonnie worked at several
places in Drayton including Dairy Queen, Drayton Public School and
American Crystal, as well as the Developmental Center in Grafton.
She was a lifelong member of Trinity Lutheran Church, The LWML and the
Drayton American Legion Auxiliary. In addition to raising her four
children, Bonnie and Willis took in their nieces and nephews and raised
them as their own, providing them a loving and caring home. Bonnie
enjoyed camping, bowling, crafts, baking, sewing and puzzles. Throughout
the years she loved to attend her grandchildren's activities and playing
cards/board games with them. Her biggest joy of all was spending time
with her family.
Loving Family members who survive include sons, David (Nancy) Puppe,
Grafton and Rodney (Tammy) Puppe, Drayton; daughters, Terry (Craig)
Anderson, Montevideo, MN and Jolene (John) Gallagher, Drayton; 11
grandchildren: Nicki (Scott) Kraft, Ryan (LeAnne)Puppe, Stacy Puppe,
Sarah (Tim) Elde, Alex (Justine) Puppe, Spencer (Grace) Puppe, Cory
(Natalie) Anderson, Nathan (Tiffany) Anderson, Kimberly Mohagen, Jodi
(David) Campbell, and Jennifer Gallagher; 14 great grandchildren;
sisters-in-law, Betty Harlow, Perham, MN and Yvonne Harlow, Bismarck, ND
as well as nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Willis in 2012; a
sister, Betty Johnson; and brothers, Walter, Donald, Ernie, Ken and
Marvin.
Funeral services are scheduled for Saturday, September 23, 2017 at 11:00
a.m. in Trinity Lutheran Church, Drayton. Interment will be in the
Drayton City Cemetery. Visitation will be held at the church for one
hour prior to the services on Saturday. Rev. Bernard Seter, presiding;
Sheila Weinlaeder, organist, Rev. Seter, soloist.
Casket bearers will be Ryan Puppe, Scott Kraft, Alex Puppe, Spencer
Puppe, Tim Elde, Corey Anderson, Nathan Anderson, and David Campbell.
