Barbara L. (Bowman) Johnson, 63, of Dublin, Ohio passed away after a courageous 7 year long battle with ovarian cancer the morning of October 25, 2012. She was born in Hallock, Minnesota to the late Glen and Violet Bowman. She was a 1968 graduate of Kennedy High School in Kennedy, MN. She earned a two year business degree in 1970. On May 27, 1972, she was united in marriage to Donavon Johnson, of Hallock, MN. Throughout her working career, she held numerous positions, none more important than being a mom and grandma (mimi), which she enjoyed the most. She is survived by her husband of 40 years, Donavon; daughter, Stacy (Brett) Johnson, of Englewood, CO; 2 granddaughters, Katie and Ellie and son, Blake (Colleen), of Glen Ellyn, IL and granddaughter, Ashlyn; sisters, Bonnie Tyszelman and Beth Gatheridge; brothers, Byron and Brent Bowman and their families. Preceded in death by parents and her father-in-law, Edmund Johnson. Viewing to be held 4-7 p.m. MONDAY, October 29, 2012 at the RUTHERFORD FUNERAL HOME AT POWELL, 450 W. Olentangy St. Funeral Service will be held 2 p.m. TUESDAY, October 30, 2012 at FELLOWSHIP LUTHERAN CHURCH, 7350 Sawmill Rd., Columbus, OH 43235. Interment will be in Kennedy, MN.
