Anna Soderfelt, 100, of Drayton, North Dakota passed away at her rural Drayton home on Saturday, February 11, 2017.  Anna Greening was born December 6, 1916 at Neche, North Dakota to Edward and Elsie (Hildebrandt) Greening.  She grew up in the Neche – Bathgate area and attended country schools. On July 14, 1937 she was united in marriage to Kenneth Soderfelt at St. Thomas, North Dakota.  The couple lived briefly in California before buying a farm west of Drayton and returning to North Dakota. Anna worked driving truck during the sugar beet harvest and seasonally at Associated Potato in Drayton. Anna was able to work until her 94th birthday.   Kenneth passed away on April 18, 1985.  She was a member of Drayton Lutheran Church.

Family members include four sons, Alcyd of Ely, MN, Alan of Hobbs, NM, Allard of Drayton and Artie (Beth) of Owasso, OK; five daughters, Adeline Smith, Bloomington, MN, Arlene (Jerry) Seemann, Hobbs, NM, Alon Soderfelt, Tulsa, OK, Angela (Carl) Wiebe, Mesa, AZ and Cheryl (Jack) Hartwig, Minong, WI; many grandchildren and great grandchildren; a brother, Ken Greening of Prior Lake, MN and sister, Hattie Henschel of Grafton, ND; as well as nieces and nephews.  She was preceded in death by her husband; brothers, Art and Gus; and sisters, Hulda and Lydia.

Funeral services are scheduled for Thursday, February 16, 2017 at 11:00 a.m. in Austin Funeral Chapel, Drayton. Interment will be held next spring in the Drayton City Cemetery. Visitation will be held at the funeral home for one hour prior to the funeral service.  Rev. Leroy Aufenkamp, presiding; Galen Nordin, soloist. Honorary casket bearers will be Anna's grand and great grandchildren.
